too hot

Very simple outfit. Due to extreme heat and humidity.
Outfit Details:
Dress: UO, a gift from Brian
Fringe bag: Im not sure, it's so old and I've used it for so long (3 years now).
Shoes: UO

I have yet to do anything productive still. I think about taking pictures all the time. I havn't done a photoshoot in SO LONG and I have the resources. I have models I can use and everything. And I see locations all the time that I'd love to take pictures of. So I'm blaming my laziness on the heat. I'm going to the Pocanoes soon (north east america along a mountain range, for those who arnt familiar) and it's very pretty there so i will take pictures although they wont be of models, I'll still be taking pictures.

Being crafty

I guess you can call this my self portrait of the week. I'm going to start that again and hopefully actually keep up with it this time! I wanted to get a kind of messy film kind of picture out of this one. I tried to make this look like it had a light leak and lots of grain and contrasty colors on photoshop. I added a cloud texture just because I liked it. And i wanted it to look kind of just like a snap shot that wasnt set up. I dont know....

I made this necklace out of boredom. I used charms and pendants from old jewelry I don't wear any more. That center broach there is vintage past down to me from my step-dad's grandmother. The rest is just poop from target, UO, and Jo Ann Fabric's.

something new

Outfit Details:
Shirt: Buffolo Exchange
Bandue (spelling?): Loehmans
Shorts: American Apparel
Shoes: DSW
Earrings: Not sure actually.. maybe urban?

Im not sure why everything is underlined right now but it's really bothering me and I don't know how to fix it at the moment. O-well...

Anyway, I would normally NEVER EVER EVER wear shorts this short. Or anything this revealing in general but I really wanted high wasted shorts and I was getting 30% off because my friend works there and my boyfriend really liked them so i got them. I tend to be a little self conscience of my curves, especially my legs so wearing these shorts made me feel a little uncomfertable but I'm trying to be more confident with what I got so I ignored those feelings. Plus I'm starting to fell more in love with the 40's and 50's so high-wasted shorts seemed necessary in my wordrobe (gah, i need a dictionary...).

being lazy.

Outfit details
Shirt: target 6$
bandeu (spelling?): loehmans 4$
Shorts: UrbanOutfitters 5$ (bought in the winter)
Socks: UrbanOutfitters 3$
Shoes: Vans, a christmas gift
Necklace: Juicy Couture, a graduation gift
...overall one of the cheapest outfits i've ever worn, i only paid 18$ although the necklace and shoes added together coast kinda a lot.

Yea so basically I have yet to do anything productive this summer. Gah. I'm so lazy I havn't even been really wearing nice clothes either. This is probably the nicest thing I put together in a few weeks and it's not even nice at all really. I guess it's because I've been working kinda a lot and I wearing crappy t-shirts and jeans to work... its seen as weird to wear normal clothes there and im not sure why...

SUMMMMERRR

Outfit Details:
Shirt: Anthropologie, borrowed from my mother
Necklace: Juicy Couture, a graduation gift from my mom
Skirt: Modcloth
Shoes: UrbanOutfitters

All these pictures were taken from my new point and shoot camera that I won at project graduation! A few people thought it was weird I wanted a crappy little camera when I have my good dslr but sometimes I hate toting it around. It's really big and heavy and sometimes I wish I had a little point and shoot for like social events, you know? I'll be doing more photoshoots and things soon, I'm still transitioning into summer mode from school and graduation and everything. I need to clean all my school stuff out and stuff and then I'll be in summer mode. Time to let go of high school...

My last day of high school...

the first, and sadly last, graduating seniors of the avid program as well as my goofy and inspiring teacher.

my avid study group and tutor

im not sure about this one...
hehehe.

my foundations of art table

my photo buddies

It feels so weird to be graduating. As much as I've always said I dislike high school I'm really going to miss some of the people I got to know. Some of my teachers and friends that I've gotten used to seeing every morning I might not see ever again after I go away to school and it's just weird. Plus I've grown so much over my past four years of high school, this year especially, and it's hard to believe I have to put them all behind me.
Although I am a tad upset about graduating, I am very excited for next year to pursue a degree in photography and marketing. I'm planning on visiting Ireland and study abroad in Italy while in college. The school I'm gong to has HUGE study abroad program so I'm most excited to do a lot of traveling.
Hmmm, well thats about all I have to say about that for now... I meant for this blog to be mostly about photography to motivate me to shoot more, but so far that has not been working out. Hopefully I'll get less lazy once I'm done with all this graduation stuff and I'll actually have more time to do things like that.

Oh and I was planning on taking photos of my outfit but I didn't. Here's the outfit details anyway...
Dress: Free People, a christmas gift from Brian
T-shirt: Lykke Li concert tee
Belt: Nordstrums for only 7 dollars!
Shoes: Urbanoutfitters
