I usually do not do this but I recently splurged on some good make-up and I've actually been getting pretty good at doing my make-up (I've always been horrible at it). So, I'll do a make-up post today as well =]

Anywayyss, my friend and I went to philly yesterday and it was a lot of fun. We saw some pretty odd things but thats always expected on south street.

Favorites

These are some of my favorite digital pictures that I have taken that represents the kind of photos I enjoy creating. I must say my film stuff is much better and I generally like working with film much better but a lot of my stuff is too big to scan and the pictures I have taken of them are crappy so I will not be posting them. Although I think some of them were posted with the pavas show post. I really havn't done a real planned and thought out shoot in so long it's killing me. BUT I might do a shoot with this dance company soon and they encourage my creativity so I am very excited.

Excuse my crappy looking self, I tend not to wear much make up, or do my hair, pr try to wear nice outfits on vacation. Especially vacations where I'm hiking or doing a lot of physical activity. Also excuse the fact that this is all underlined, I'm sure sure how to fix it.

I did in fact finally take real photographs with a real non-point-and-shoot camera! I used my film camera though, so the pictures will not be posted until developed. Which might take a while because I have no money, as usual. Actually I have two rolls that need developing. O-vwellll...

Anyway, I had so much fun finally getting outside! It's been sooooooo hot wear I live, like 100+ degrees, so they fresh mountain air was a perfect relief. We went hiking and floated in the lake. It was a very relaxing and nice vacation. I was so sad to leave especially because we were only up two and a half days. Hopefully I'll be back there in august!

I have yet to do anything productive still. I think about taking pictures all the time. I havn't done a photoshoot in SO LONG and I have the resources. I have models I can use and everything. And I see locations all the time that I'd love to take pictures of. So I'm blaming my laziness on the heat. I'm going to the Pocanoes soon (north east america along a mountain range, for those who arnt familiar) and it's very pretty there so i will take pictures although they wont be of models, I'll still be taking pictures.

Being crafty

I guess you can call this my self portrait of the week. I'm going to start that again and hopefully actually keep up with it this time! I wanted to get a kind of messy film kind of picture out of this one. I tried to make this look like it had a light leak and lots of grain and contrasty colors on photoshop. I added a cloud texture just because I liked it. And i wanted it to look kind of just like a snap shot that wasnt set up. I dont know....

I made this necklace out of boredom. I used charms and pendants from old jewelry I don't wear any more. That center broach there is vintage past down to me from my step-dad's grandmother. The rest is just poop from target, UO, and Jo Ann Fabric's.

Im not sure why everything is underlined right now but it's really bothering me and I don't know how to fix it at the moment. O-well...

Anyway, I would normally NEVER EVER EVER wear shorts this short. Or anything this revealing in general but I really wanted high wasted shorts and I was getting 30% off because my friend works there and my boyfriend really liked them so i got them. I tend to be a little self conscience of my curves, especially my legs so wearing these shorts made me feel a little uncomfertable but I'm trying to be more confident with what I got so I ignored those feelings. Plus I'm starting to fell more in love with the 40's and 50's so high-wasted shorts seemed necessary in my wordrobe (gah, i need a dictionary...).

...overall one of the cheapest outfits i've ever worn, i only paid 18$ although the necklace and shoes added together coast kinda a lot.

This is probably the nicest thing I put together in a few weeks and it's not even nice at all really. I guess it's because I've been working kinda a lot and I wearing crappy t-shirts and jeans to work... its seen as weird to wear normal clothes there and im not sure why...
